Who we are

In 2013 Brighton’s Montpellier Place Baptist Church sadly closed and the site was later sold.
It represented a community of Christians who had been gathering in the city since 1834. But we don’t believe this is the end of the story. God gives new life. So we’re sowing seeds for a new church in central Brighton. We’re serious about hearing God’s Word the Bible taught and applying its message about Jesus to our lives.

We’re serious about hearing God’s Word the Bible taught and applying its message about Jesus to our lives.

“…and you know that from infancy you have known the sacred Scriptures, which are able to give you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”

2 Timothy 3:15, CSB

We’re learning how to relate well to each other- with humble, servant hearts.

“I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

John 13:34,35, CSB

We’re discovering how to depend upon God in prayer for all we’re called to do.

“Devote yourselves to prayer; stay alert in it with thanksgiving.”

Colossians 4:2, CSB

We’re doing all this so that others in Brighton will meet Jesus too.

“Jesus came near and said to them,“All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember,I am with you always, to the end of the age.””

Matthew 28:18-20, CSB
